Chinese inverter manufacturer DeYe has introduced a new micro-hybrid energy storage system suitable for residential and off-grid applications.

The AE-F(S)2.0-2H2 system integrates a micro-inverter, battery module, and battery management system. Its configuration includes a 2 kWh battery, with the option to add up to four expansion modules, bringing the total storage capacity to 10 kWh.

DeYe states: "It offers multiple output ports, capable of meeting the diverse energy needs of various devices, whether at home or outdoors. Equipped with two maximum power point trackers (MPPT) and up to 1600 watts of photovoltaic power input, it can be paired with over 99% of photovoltaic panels on the market, offering great flexibility."

The system has an output power of 800 watts, with a DC-to-AC conversion efficiency of 96.5%, and a grid-tied/off-grid switching time of 4 milliseconds. Its battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry, with a rated cycle life of 6,000 cycles and a design lifespan of 10 years.

DeYe states: "This micro-hybrid energy storage system features unique AC coupling capabilities, allowing for easy upgrades to existing balcony micro-inverter systems. It ensures that existing systems do not waste energy while also meeting power needs during nighttime or power outages."
The system offers three operating modes: Green Power Mode, which charges only when there is sufficient photovoltaic power; Time-of-Use Rate Mode, which optimizes usage based on electricity prices; and Full Charge Mode, which serves as a backup power source.

The device weighs 24 kilograms, with dimensions of 450 mm wide, 210 mm deep, and 321 mm high. It can operate within a temperature range of -10°C to 50°C.
